This is a very quick and easy way to make vanilla ice cream without all the hassle of the traditional way. Get some quart ziplock bags, 1/2 cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 6 tablespoons of salt, and 2 cups of ice cubes. Put the ice and salt in a small zip lock bag, then put that into the larger zip lock bag. Doing this makes the mixture very cold, very quickly. Shake the larger bag for about 5 to 10 minutes, and there you go: quick and easy vanilla ice cream that was homemade.
