Some of these stats about Guinness are simply amazing. The founder of Guinness signed a lease in 1759 for 9000 years for 45 pounds a year. The Guinness brewery was the largest in 1866 producing 1.2 million barrels a year. That’s a lot of beer. In 1906, 1 in 30 people in Dublin worked at the Guinness factor. Guinness, like Coke, sent all the troops a bottle of beer for Christmas dinner in 1939. Guinness is also the best selling stout in the world.
