MA – 5th Century Visigoth

The Visigoths were one of two primary limbs of the later Goths, the Ostrogoths being the different. These roaming tribes were around the Germanic folks who spread through the late Roman Empire throughout Late Antiquity or the Migration Period. The Visigoths developed out of the Gothic assemblies who dropped in the Roman Empire in and after 376 and crushed the Romans at the Battle of Adrianople in 378. The Visigoths attacked Italy under Alaric I and broadly sacked Rome in 410 AD, possibly settling in Spain and Portugal, where they established a moving Kingdom.
