D-Day Landings

The D-Day Landings, codenamed Operation Neptune, were the arriving operations of the Allied intrusion of Normandy, in Operation Overlord, throughout World War II. The landings started on Tuesday, 6 June 1944 (D-Day), starting at 6:30 am British Double Summer Time (GMT+2).
