How the Brazen Bull Works

The Ancient Greeks found creative ways to punish their enemies. The Brazen Bull was a torture and execution device used by the Ancient Greeks and later the Romans which was used all the way up to year 500 AD. The device worked by trapping a victim in the internal belly of a bronze Bull. A fire was then lit underneath the Bull which literally roasted the person inside! Talk about a way to go!

The bronze bull was also equipped with a horn which exited the nostrils and made the screams of the victim even louder. The Greeks then used this to add support that their gods were in fact real by making inanimate objects real!
